The AL is now 12-0-1 in the last 13 All Star Games after defeating the NL 4-3 in the 2009 All Star Game in St. Louis, Missouri. Carl Crawford of the Tampa Bay Rays in the Bottom of the 7th made a spectacular leaping grab to preserve the tie for the American League and named All Star Game MVP. Then the Top of the 8th Curtis Granderson of the Detroit Tigers triples, before Adam Jones of the Baltimore Orioles hits the GW Sac Fly to score Granderson. Jonathan Papelbon of the Boston Red Sox who pitched the Bottom of the 7th gets the Win for the American League. Heath Bell of the Padres takes the Loss. Yankees closer Mariano Rivera sets an All Star Record in recording his 4th All Star Game Save. Next Year's Game 2010 in Anaheim, California
